Wand no. 111. Red Oak, 14.5", completed in September of 2013 (so long ago!). Commissioned by Alex E.
The only instructions I received for carving this commission was that the pommel should be a ball tip. I took that idea and ran with it, making the pommel the aesthetic focal point of the piece. I added a claw motif and kept the color scheme to the black and dark brown the commissioner requested. The grain of the oak really shines through in the dark brown handle.
