Handmade Wand ''Chris''

This is my second wand [CT-898B], made for a friends's birthday in January and is my first attempt at carving an asymmetric design. Length is 13 1/4 in.

My comments: I wanted to do something that looked like it came off a branch of a tree, so I did some form-fitting carving to the grip to make it comfortable to hold. There is a small section at the base of the grip left unsanded for a texture variation. I'm not very happy with the symbols running up the shaft, but it prevents the piece from looking too bland, which is the last thing I want. The box is also handmade.
