This wand (no. 75) was made as one-half of a pair of wands for a mother and daughter. This one is birch. The pale color of the wood represents the purity of the Patronus Charm, the recipient's favorite spell, and the swirls symbolize her out-of-the-box thinking.
I really enjoyed making this one because I didn't have to sand the swirls on the handle (sanding those tight places is usually very tedious), but that's what gave this particular wand its charm. I also gave the shaft a slight gradient to eliminate the monotony of birch's pale white color.
