Handmade Wand ''Lace''

This is wand no. 26 [KF-128J], made for my friend Katie's birthday. I hand-carved the wand with a flexcut whittling knife from a 36" hardwood dowel from Michaels Arts and Crafts store, sanded it with 100, 300, and 600 grit sandpaper, stained it with miniwax stains, and finished it with an acrylic sealer. The wand process took about 9 hours from start to finish.

The box is handmade as well, out of rawboard, craft paper, corrugated cardboard, fabric, and sheer ribbon, to fit the wand.

Total time (plus box) approx. 12 hours.
