AM-485z | Mahogany, 12" | Completed September 2015 | Handcarved with whittling knives.
This wand was one of two designed and commissioned by Aidan M. back in 2015. This one is finished very simply, its main design feature being the spiral handle. After carving, I sanded until the wood was shiny smooth and finished it with several coats of tung oil finish, working each coat into the wood. The end result really brought out the lustre of the mahogany's marvelous color.
